What is a Pre-Buy Inspection?

The objective of the Pre-Buy inspection is to learn as much about the condition and history of an aircraft as possible. The best way to achieve this is through a Annual Inspection performed by a professional inspector who is experienced on that make and model aircraft.

At Absolute Aviation, our inspectors have performed hundreds of Annuals and Pre-Buys. We know what to look for, and that includes paperwork.

Our experienced inspectors find paperwork problems with most aircraft we see for the first time. Sometimes these discrepancies can be serious and costly to correct, and other times, knowledge of the discrepancies provides the buyer with leverage during purchase negotiations.

Normally, the Pre-Buy inspection is paid for by the buyer. The correction of discrepancies that affect airworthiness are usually paid for by the seller.  Reluctance to enter into a pre-buy arrangement on the part of the seller can be a red flag as to the seller's confidence in the aircraft.

A good Pre-Buy inspection is wise insurance.

What is a Pre-Sell Inspection?

A pre-sell inspection is an important, yet often neglected, aspect of the aircraft sale process.

Absolute Aviation's Pre-Sell program prepares your aircraft and paperwork for the scrutiny of the buyer's Pre-Buy inspection. As experienced Pre-Buy inspectors we know what to look for, and as professional Pre-Sell inspectors, we know what to prepare for. We also know that the ordinary Annual Inspection is a costly substitute for a well executed Pre-Sell program. Absolute Aviation's Pre-Sell program can be tailored to fit your particular needs, and can include any or all of the following items:

  • Annual Inspection by an unbiased and experienced inspector
  • Correction of items that affect airworthiness
  • Obtain complete aircraft file from FAA Registry
  • Comprehensive Aircraft Status Report
  • Complete and detailed AD listing
  • Complete aircraft cleaning and detailing
  • High resolution digital photographs
  • Recommended action list for pending items
  • E-Logs package developed and prepared for shipment
  • Quotes for common buyer-desired upgrades

Don't be tempted by cheap imitations, contact us today for a FREE estimate. First impressions are lasting impressions, so make that impression a good one.

What are E-Logs?

Absolute Aviation's E-Logs are digital reproductions of your aircraft's critical documentation. Documentation that, if lost, could be costly or even impossible to recreate.

Airworthiness can be achieved only through proper documentation, so the quality of that documentation can affect the value of an aircraft.

E-Logs provides a cost effective back-up of your aircraft's critical documents, and makes them readily accessible from any computer with CD-ROM. Copies can be stored for safe keeping, mailed to prospective buyers, provided to Pre-Buy inspectors, etc.

There is an E-Log system for every need and budget. Whether you need a simple copy of your most important paperwork, a comprehensive working archive with links and resource material, or anything in between. Absolute Aviation has an E-Log system for you.

Critical Aircraft Paperwork

Their importance is recognized whenever an aircraft is sold,
but their value is appreciated only when they become lost.
